I had the pleasure of first meeting Ashley and Mike last winter, for their chilly but awesome engagement photo session under the Trestle Bridge in Parry Sound. The engagement session was charming; Ashley and Mike in their cozy sweaters in the snow with Starbucks for a kick of warmth!
Their wedding day started with me and my amazing assistant and photographer, Peter Istvan, catching up with Mike and the lads at the lovely Log Cabin Inn. Mike was looking dapper in his Vera Wang suit! It was about as perfect as you can imagine, with the beautiful fall leaves glowing in the afternoon sun. That and the guys were a barrel of fun! Then it was off to the Sundog Retreat to catch up with Ashley and the girls in the rustic and perfectly unique Honeymoon suite. They were ready to go and glamorous with hair and make-up perfectly done by A La Mode.
Their wedding day was a perfect reflection of the two of them as a couple – a blend of down to earth calm in the rustic elegance in the beautiful Charles W. Stockey Centre, Parry Sound and spontaneous fun. How many people can claim their outdoor ceremony took place in the middle of a rogue October snow flurry?! Or got photobombed by a angry seagull?!! True to their personalities, their evening rode a vibe of fun the whole night with surprise dance parties in the middle of the reception to a whole lot of wild and zany fun in the photo booth!
Thank you, Ashley and Mike, for letting us play a part in your day. We hope you’ll enjoy a lifetime of adventures together!
